Geographical introduction
Raipur upazila of Laxmipur district has an area of ​​201.32 sq. Km. It is bounded on the north by Faridganj and Ramganj upazilas, on the east by Sadar upazila, on the south by Mehendiganj upazila of Barisal, on the west by Hijla and Hamchar upazilas and Meghna river. Its main rivers are Meghna and Dakatiya.
